Great information and photos on this fire, thank you to all that posted!

I would like to ask if anyone has the full rundown of the Companies that were assigned to the relief operations from Sunday Feb 1st 0300-Feb 3rd at 2400, or can point me to a source for the info.

I am the editor of the Box 52 Association's newletter called the Line Box. I would like to do the timeline for the fire in our Feb, issue. Box 52 is located in Boston and is the oldest organized fire buffing club in the US organized in 1912. You can check out our website for past issues of the Line Box at www.box52.org.

Now the clown show start's (or continue's)....do the hipster's want to make this another 9-11 & sue for air quality? ....Fire's were burning around the City when they were born (if they actually lived anywhere near NYC ) ....doubt that though ! .....everybody can't sue for a buck !

The clown show will never stop or even slow down.  It actually seems to be picking up steam every year.  There's a lawyer out there to sue for anything, I'm sure you could even find one that would sue because it rained on an outdoor event that you planned!  This one obviously has no idea what happened at the fire because FDNY doesn't even know that yet.  He's just looking for a quick buck!  Also since one of the earlier stories stated that recent records were also stored electronically, the records he's looking for probably have duplicate copies that the city can wave in front of him!!

Every so often I can get the smell of what the city used to smell like when I was a young kid in the early seventies living in alphabet city. That smell of building incinerators burning garbage mixed with the smell of actual buildings burning. I can also remember playing little league baseball and having ashes from the building incinerators raining down on us as we played. I'm sick of these hipsters and their self entitlement
