Looks like some roofing material. Wonder if it got into the apartment?
I thought it was in the apartment and through the roof of the apt. into the underneath of the roofing material. Not familiar with these buildings but looks like heavy fire under the roof material when FF pulled it up with hooks.

They eventually brought and operated a handline on the roof.

I’m pretty sure most of these HRFPMD apartments are like brick ovens. Only extension out of an apartment would be through the door into the public hallway or autoexposure out the windows. Never heard of the fire going through the ceiling and into the roof in one of these. Could be wrong but that’s my understanding.

Thought that too. But then the fire apartment being given made me think inside somewhere. Tough job it seems either way, and far for most companies after 318/166.
