They may have, but I don't think they were ever there together, all operating at the same time, like they were today.
I'm not sure off hand. I have to go back k and try and find the call and see. I do remember the big boats taking up due to the tide and one of the small boats taking there place

Sued who ? l hope he wasn't successful ?
The bldg if I recall was a huge storage warehouse for paper records. One of the tenants was a lawyer who sued or tried to sue the FDNY for damages. I don't remember all of the specifics off hand but I haven't seen anything after that statement either.

Yeah that was over by the old Greenpoint terminal market. I thought I read somewhere the tenant saying he lived in that building as well.

RCL is probably referring to this fire:

A couple of days later there was a fire in the same building as today's fire:

Pretty sure that was it. I was actually looking for it. Googled it and found 1 article saying 1 tenant, a lawyer, was suing or threatening to sue saying the FDNY was or possibly negligent in shutting down the sprinklers. Didnt see anything else past that. Did see 1 other article saying that there was 1 person who apparently lived on 2 floors of an adjoining building lost everything, and he was 1 of the owners who was trying to sue the tenants as according to him it was there responsibility to keep their area up.

That is the ‘Long Dock’ when described in Red Hook. When I worked in L131 we had many runs there when the docks were busy before container ships took over the shipping business.
Just as described it’s a LONG DOCK! One road in and out, scary at night with water on both sides. Perfect place for Marine Units to operate, not sure Super Pumper it would have to draft or work of Marine Units for water supply.
