It was pretty interesting to see the bubble roof deflate on the citizen videos.

What was even underneath it? It appeared just to be flooring after firefighters cut it open.

Could be a running deck , or Tennis courts. The space is used for sure.

L.19 is on Washington Ave. & E.167 St. in the Bronx.
Is that relocation of L.19 to L.110 on Tillary St. Bklyn correct, or could it possibly be L.119 on Hooper St.?
We used to call that a "bring your lunch for the ride" relocation!

Ole Fire Patrol 3, Dean St., Downtown Brooklyn - I had a couple of friends there & had been there several times
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Fire_Patrol

After Fire Patrol #3 was disbanded I had to go through the building to get to the back for terminal access. I believe a real estate agent let me in and pretty much left me alone. I took the opportunity to walk around and check the inside. It was a nice building alot of wood and original materials. It was weird being there and the company was gone. Its a shame when these parts of NYC history are gone.

After many years ‘on the job’ I am still amazed by the ability of the FDNY to throw firefighters and equipment at anything they come up against, now including bubbles on the roof. Must have been difficult at the initial stages when deflating.
The rundown really shows how complex a multiple alarm response can be. A real tribute to the Dispatchers who coordinate this multi-boro effort.
