S270 to R5 is an interesting relocation. That’s a pretty far trek.

I thought that structure houses the chief medical examiner’s office for SI. Guess I was wrong…

The M.E.'s office, FDNY R&T repair shop and EMS Station B22 are toward the front of the property. First right turn after the gate guard booth.
 
3:55 pm Bn 22 was leaving the scene. FDNY Marshals and NYPD, however, remained on the scene.
 
Some of the buildings here (if not the fire building) are in extreme disrepair - rumored haunted and trespassed by many to get a glimpse. All that in the woods too…on a foggy morning makes for an eerie job.
 
There was a thought several years ago to put some type of FDNY training facility on the grounds of Seaview hospital.
Obviously it never took off.
 
With regard to Satellite 5’s responses, I believe years ago the Job asked either the Boro and/or Divisions if they wanted Satellites to
respond on anything other than 2-2’s. Apparently SI did.
