The lads could have done a little shopping for supper...Arthur and 186 as staging? Thats…a choice. Lol

My girlfriend who knows I follow this forum and fires online who has no knowledge of FDNY ops said the same thing to me last week.Ok I'm just gonna come out and ask it. Have there's been way more multiple alarm, like 3 alarm or higher this year to date, or is it just me? I feel like I've seen at least three 5th alarm jobs this month?
With all the narrow streets around there I would agree with that spot. Companies can park there rigs all along the back of hospital property. It’s along a short maybe 2 or 3 block walk from there. Using other streets would cause a huge block upArthur and 186 as staging? Thats…a choice. Lol
I agree 100%. At least one of the SOC units should be FAST, FDNY Has plenty of trucks for grunt work.Once again, TWICE - there goes the continuity of the FAST truck. We've been lucky so far, but for how much longer? And please don't try to convince us that putting that truck to work is more important, when you have a squad and rescue on scene. What happens if it hits the fan, and the Squad and Rescue are IN THAT FAN?.
At midnight maybe. During the afternoon, with delivery trucks up and down that street? I dont even think TLs can make that turn onto 186 from arthur with the amount of cars and trucks there nowadays. And 2 one ways creates a bottleneck. Just my opinion….thats way above my pay grade. Just speaking from experience sitting at a few staging areas lolWith all the narrow streets around there I would agree with that spot. Like... If this doesn't prove we need more resources, I don't know what willMy girlfriend who knows I follow this forum and fires online who has no knowledge of FDNY ops said the same thing to me last week.
You and she are right. In 2025, the total number of multiple alarms from Jan 1 to Apr 30 was 79. This year, the total number of multiple alarms from Jan 1 to 1800 Apr 21 was 87. That's a 10.1% increase through today, and who knows how many more there will be before May 1.My girlfriend who knows I follow this forum and fires online who has no knowledge of FDNY ops said the same thing to me last week.
FC: as per Car 13A Chief Currao - transmit a full 4th Alarm13.. mistake on my end 13A not 10-84
4779 came in at the same time as the phone alarm for this alarmNormal response for 3326
AH 88 48 45 46 79* 38 56 58F 27
2d alarm 75 90 42. 37** 33 41
Eight of these companies were unavailable as the incident at 3326 started to escalate.
(*Now operating from 62/32 quarters on White plains Rd.)
(**Now operating from 81/46 quarters on Bailey Avenue.)
3536 is located at Jerome Avenue & E205th Street near Bronx Science High School. Normally E79/37 first due there but now filled in by E48/56. 3536 is way on the opposite end of 48s response area.
4779 is at Marion Avenue & E188th Street, about a half mile from 3326.
Normal there is
48 75 88 79 46 56 33 38F 37
I'm guessing 4779 came in before the second alarm at 3326.
You can see the ripple effect on the response to 3326 caused by both the fire at 79/37s Briggs Avenue firehouse and other boxes out in the area simultaneously.
He’s 13FC: as per Car 13A Chief Currao - transmit a full 4th Alarm
Better let FC know that! He’s 13
It actually is isolated, even though it's technically attached in the front.Definitely not an isolated building. It’s attached x 2
