Think L118 from the BK side could be on the ticket somewhere too

Should be an automatic 2nd ALarm response to the Island upon confirmation of an active fire. It can take too long to get units in place.

I think IC discretion is always the best policy. It seems like they knocked this one down with 1&1 with the rest of the units trickling in. Otherwise you have dozens of units responding and just creating a bottleneck at the ferry landing while they wait.

In the old days, the Manhattan CO would have transmitted special building box 3-18-11 (Pier A) or 3-100 (Battery Park-Staten Island Ferry).

I heard they have a couple apparatus on the island unstaffed, but one engine supposed to be staffed weekdays during the summer months I guess that's not right now then

Used to take ferries to SI before the Verrizano Bridge was built.
OK, John, while we're dating ourselves . . . did they ride from Manhattan, or from Brooklyn? ;) And to date myself a little more . . . if it was Brooklyn, which one? 39th St. or 69th St?
