I’ve never seen a SAT engine be assigned above the AH as an extra engine more than E324. Just an observation I’ve noticed in the last few weeks.

Possibly due to the fact that probably out of the SAT*ENGs 324 is the busiest so more chance of them initially being on another Run then assigned afterwards to a Box they would have went on initially if available.

was that their 1st due box? maybe the dispatcher throwing them a bone for missing a 1st due fire bc on EMS run..they are good like that...
