E14 relocates to E88...a long run from from 18th St. I am betting that relocation has never happened before. But there is a connection between engine 14 and engine 88...

In 1922, E88 replaced its horses with a tractor driven steamer and motorized hose wagon reassigned from engine 14.

What goes round comes round... A century later.

I believe E 14 was first due to Box 8300 on 10/29/2012. And having heard recordings of dispatch audio from years ago, anything was possible.

^^^^ On 10-29-12 during Hurricane Sandy BN*46 was the 1st Due BC (from QTRS on Grand Ave ) to 8300 for the big Fire in Breezy Point ..... (closer BNs were all operating at other Fires).....Chief Joe Pfiefer lived there & was actually there 1st but the 46 was the 1st to arrive assigned BN.
