7 story NYCHA MD, don’t think there is a standpipe...long hand stretches from the street up to 7th floor if that’s the case

How is it possible that a NYCHA facility does not have a standpipe?

Don't bother answering, I already know the answer. UF Believable.

The number of stories a building has is not a requirement for standpipe systems. Only buildings higher than 75’ require standpipes. These buildings are classified as Low Rise Fire Proof Multiple Dwellings.

As it has been said, "The buildings may be fireproof but the contents aren't."
