I received a package in the mail today (12/26) sent to me from "Atlas" - site Administrator.

About a week or two ago I also received an email from him asking me to confirm my mailing address and send it to "Atlas@nycfire.net" which I did.
The email said that I would receive a gift if I responded back to him.
It also said that the gift was being made by a friend of his (Atlas) and it had something to do with the web site and fire department.

As I understand it these gifts were sent out to members who have contributed in a positive way, with at least 2,000 messages posted on the site.
It was also given to individuals who have been guest speakers on NYCFire.net Monthly Zoom Meetings.

Along with the gift a letter was also included saying how many of us have become good friends and have often shared good times together.
A friendship that has even crossed both oceans, all because of NYCFIRE.Net.

I now have my gift hanging on my living room wall as I proudly display it.

Well, I just want to say THANK YOU.

And THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED YOUR STORIES, RUNDOWNS, PHOTO, VIDEOs, EVENTS, etc that has brought us all together.

I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year and a SAFE YEAR for those in uniform who are there to help and protect us.

That you Willie. I just checked 25 members received their packages today. Several more packages still have to be delivered today or tomorrow.
This is a small token between the Bendick family (I can't forget the Commissioner or I am in trouble when I see her) and the volunteer staff. The crew worked on the project keeping it a secret for several months hoping to get it just right. Our aim was something different for you guys who make this an awesome group.

So if you have not replied to the E-mail, please do. We want to say "THANKS" to you for a job well done. Just pass the requested information on to:
ATLAS @ NYCFire.net

Thanks.

Please add my thanks for your thoughtful gift. While currently hanging in a center spot on our tree, it will move to my desk next week. It caused me to reflect upon my joining date, and it's hard to believe 15 years have passed since I walked thru these virtual firehouse doors. I don't think there's any other place that comes close to the wealth of current information and history as this site, And thanks to all our members, especially the Bendick family and the site administrators.

Ken and John, I just got home from my holiday trip to Florida and opened your very thoughtful gift. Thank you for that, and for creating such a great site. it is an honor to be included on this site with so many great people. Bill Jones
