As Captain of 82 engine 9/73-5/76 Tommy was one of my Lieutenants. As busy as 82 was then it was a smooth running company before I arrived, during my years and after. So many officers I knew who would do a tour in 82 either on overtime or post coverage would comment to me that when they were given 82 for that tour, the first time, they thought sure that with all the running and work the office etc. "would be a shit house." It wasn't, far from it. It wasn't me it was the three Lt's then, Andrade, Simmons and Tommy. Tommy wasn't liked by his guys he was loved. His firefighting experience, courage and caring for his guys, his family were number one. It was always a pleasure to be with him, to work with him. I know I speak for the guys in the "big house,"thank you Tommy," Rest in Peace.
