City Council wants Mayor Mamadummy to add 5th man to 80 more Engine companies

Doesn't seem like a bad idea, 20 current 5 man companies, + the additional 80 they want to bring back. That's slightly over 50% of all Engines with 5FF's.

But EMS getting a raise should seem, and VERY MUCH is, a necessity, is that being brought up during these budget decisions?

Fire deaths are up....thats what's driving this. Politicians catching a little heat when people in their district die. Yes people die everyday waiting for EMS........but that isn't making headlines.
 
Read the WHOLE article, this is nothing new, attempted with previous administrations to no avail...don't hold your breath.
