Just new squads. I believe they were already on order.Squad Pumper?? Is that supposed to say something else or are we getting a new Squad Co?
The squad companies need the body work large enough to carry the tools and equipment they need which is why they are equipped with 1000 gpm pumps. Is there a reason the Squads are kept to the 1000gpm pump these days when the rest of the fleet is going to 2000gpm? Smaller pump = more internal room for specialized tools?
Curious but do the squads get into pumping situations where a 1000GPM pump is adequate versus the first due engine companies and the need for 2000GPMpumps?Is there a reason the Squads are kept to the 1000gpm pump these days when the rest of the fleet is going to 2000gpm? Smaller pump = more internal room for specialized tools?
If a squad company is first or second due at a box, they supply the first or second line into the scene of a fire. A 1000 gpm pumper still has enough gusto to provide plenty of water for a hand line.Curious but do the squads get into pumping situations where a 1000GPM pump is adequate versus the first due engine companies and the need for 2000GPMpumps?
No date yet fixing all the issuesAny update on L169 TDA going into service?
Are they going to respond on edp calls? Was wondering what those we're. I thought they we're for special events.
Yes, the mental health units have already been doing that for some time, but now they'll be using specialized designed vehicles instead of retrofitted ambulances. Are they going to respond on edp calls?
