Not sure know some converted to community type establishments but not sure if city funded.Does the City still own any of the firehouses that were closed?
When they closed E36 everyone’s runs in the area jumped... E35 was doing 2800-3300 runs a year now they do almost 6kEngine 36 was closed in 2003. It is now Caribbean Cultural Center for African Diaspora Institute
Cool infoThe Tin House at Rockaway Ave. & Bergen St. is now EMS 44 Batt.. Was the home to Eng. 232 & Lad 176 till 232 was disbanded on 1/31/88, AKA Super bowl Sunday. L176 was moved to new Qtrs. on June 29 of 87 with Eng. 233 & CADO unit. Tin House was opened 9/24/71 with 232 & 732 occuping till 732 was disbanded on Aug. 5 1972. L176 was established in the Tin House Nov. 24,1972. While we there the next door neighbor owned the property and the City was just renting it. When we left the City bought the land.

Still looks nice ,old architectureLadder 40's old house on Hancock Place before the merged with Engine 37 is no the Faison Firehouse Theatre
Yes can still tell was a firehouse looking at it.E 248’s old quarters at 2261 Church Avenue ha been replaced by a modern three story building. The front of the new building is in line with others on the block, not recessed back in the property the way the firehouse was. The old Democratic Club next door is now a church.
Gr8 info!Did some research really these 3 companies should be brought back from 2003 (Really should be all of them)
Engine 36 - Can't come back at the house they had but since they closed they did 2,759 Runs in 2002 and E35 down the street did 2,368 Runs

Engine 209 was with Ladder 102 and saw a jump of 843 Calls in that area from E230
Engine 261 was with Ladder 116 and saw a jump of 1,976 Calls in that area from E260

Well that should change a little since they closed the McDonalds and The old Path-mart building is goneA huge portion of E*35 runs are CFR just around the corner at 125 / Lexington Avenue.
The Pathmark is being replaced with affordable housing, which will if nothing else increase the local population dramaticallyWell that should change a little since they closed the McDonalds and The old Path-mart building is gone
