Before that period Throgs Neck was a virtual country club assignment and E-89 used to often relocate to E-64 and L-50 relocated to L-47, 50 & 51. Many times E-61, E-64 and L-47 were first into Throgs Neck.SQDBOSS said:Very interesting, that 88-2 became 72. Who covered Throggs Neck 89? Obviously that a heavy fire load then or now but a long, long ride!

A 1968-69 ALF tiller was numbered for L-57 although it was never in service.tcu712 said:I'm fairly certain at the time the firehouse for E72 was built, consideration was given to establish a truck (L57) as well. That never came into fruition.
