New company, new rig.Why. Is Squad 8 getting a new rig, there currently using a 2014 model and all the other Squads have 2013 model rig.
Will they change the striping to black like the old one?New company, new rig.
It's really sharp, I was lucky enough to see it in person and I was very impressed. The attention to detail is stunning. Very feature has been thought out.
There is a separate thread for the RescuesAny pictures of the new Rescue 1?
I hope so ... anything to deflect from those chevronsWill they change the striping to black like the old one?
I hope not. I did not like the combo at allWill they change the striping to black like the old one?
They aren't designed to look good, they are there to increase the safety for the brothers, that's what really matters! How the truck looks is only for members of departments that don't do much firefighting! Safety and functionality are what matters.I hope so ... anything to deflect from those chevrons
Shops won’t do that. Members have toI would have through that the Striping would have had black in it
same truckanyone know what the difference in specs are with the current squad 8 (the old engine 165 haz tec engine) and the other squad spec. rigs from 2013? Are they pretty much the same or is there a huge difference?
Yes and no… it was not originally purchased to be a squad but it was built off the same exact spec. The current 2013/2014 squads are identical; they just served as squads from day one in service.Because the 2014 they have wasn't spec'd as a squad it was a Haz Tech rig
Good point, but why wait so long ?They aren't designed to look good, they are there to increase the safety for the brothers, that's what really matters! How the truck looks is only for members of departments that don't do much firefighting! Safety and functionality are what matters.
I doubt they will change to those numbers, and no clue as to why the ''8''.Yes and no… it was not originally purchased to be a squad but it was built off the same exact spec. The current 2013/2014 squads are identical; they just served as squads from day one in service.
I guess this brings up an old point that was probably discussed and beaten to death… squad 1 was the original in Brooklyn and then the 6 others (18, 41, 61, 252, 270, 288) were formed in the late 90s… will those all change to squad 2, 3, 4, 5, 6? Otherwise E154 should have just went to squad 154.
