10-4 Capt.Yes and there new 2023 is awaiting lettering and numbered. 210 , 231 & 236 have been in At shops and Paige pl for awhile
Yes they are. I was told the truck has been built, no idea what the hold up is for though. Is 241 getting a new rig or not for a while yet?
Who has a 14 yr old rig from the date it was placed into service to current day?Greatest fire dept in the world and there’s companies with 14 year old rigs. Amazing.
There aren’t companies still riding around in front line rigs from 2010?Who has a 14 yr old rig from the date it was placed into service to current day?
Yes, they may be classified as 2010 but a handful of the final rigs of that batch of 2010's did not enter service until mid to late 2011. Engine 222's 2010 was on display at FDIC in March, 2011, part of the final batch of final pumpers for that group. There aren’t companies still riding around in front line rigs from 2010?
The engine is at the NJ shopYes they are. I was told the truck has been built, no idea what the hold up is for though.
Yes received it at the very end of the year. From what I was told either a hold up on warranty parts/issues or priority over other pieces pieces such as the TL/New Sticks. This could be incorrect though not 100% certain. The engine is at the NJ shop
There are other "great" and busy fire depts. that are in a lot worse shape with their fleet. We are lucky that there is an ongoing replacement program for the rigs.Greatest fire dept in the world and there’s companies with 14 year old rigs. Amazing.
TL = Tower Ladders. '' Sticks '' = means straight aerial ladders, ( rear mounts / tillers ). The make is Seagrave. ls that what you mean? What are TL/New Sticks?
Even back in the war years rearmounts were called sticks. They were great for venting. Put the stick thru the window..I never heard anyone in the field refer to Aerial Ladders as Sticks.
