News of Members

They're playing the mariners this weekend. My wife's best friend lives out there, so we go often, I'll definitely go when the yanks or Mets are playing. Soto had a good showing last night.
I figured you were the good luck charm lol

Since they closed the steel mills, The Holiday Bar, Forbes Field, and the Iron City Brewery, I'm not sure why anyone would need to go to Pittsburgh
If someone insists: after lunch at Primanti's on 18th Street, drive through 28th and Liberty Avenue where George Westinghouse invented the airbrake in his shop and the Railroad Strike of 1877 started.

Go to 3339 Penn Avenue to see the Roberto Clemente Museum- better known as the quarters of 25 Engine and Truck. Ask to see if the highwater mark from the Flood of 1936 is still in the basement. Even better, see the Captain's office behind the sitting/watchroom/kitchen. Over 50 years ago that's where Entropychaser slept buffing the night tour. The Captain slept upstairs where there was an air conditioner.

Luis Clemente is Roberto's 2nd son and is a friend of mine. The museum is a must and a great old house. Great story about staying the the house.

I'll bet she doesn't know who Roberto Clemente, or George Westinghouse for that matter, is.

Good to see you back with us "BritishAndy" and Thank You for posting some of those photos in the Rescue 1 Members - 1970 and Vintage FDNY Rig Photos on 1/4/25 that were taken by your friend.

I think you've been away from the site for a while but you have been a long time member.

I would like to thank "patrickfd", Pat D...., for posting his photos on this web site of fires that he has buffed in Hartford, Ct and the surrounding towns and cities.

I first met Pat years ago from another web site and at that time, I think he was an East Hartford Career Firefighter and working part time as a dispatcher in Manchester.

I hope he remembers me.

Pat also has buffed the FDNY and from what I understand, he is familiar with some of the members here.

Pat who has been a member of this site since 2009, still gets out there and chases the fires then he post them for us to see on his web site which is;

www.squadfirephotos.com

Nice job Pat, keep them coming.

Another Member of Our Organization here who contributes the latest fire activity throughout the State of Connecticut, from East to West, North to South, is "EMSR2", aka Keith D.

I would like to THANK Keith for taking the time to provide us with all the news coverage of fire activity throughout the entire State of Connecticut.
