Notre Dame to Reopen After Fire

Several years ago PBS did a 2 hour show on Nova showing the rebuilding process. They actually used scenes from a video game to help in the re-building.
If i remember correctly, shortly before the fire, someone did a 360 scan of the entire structure which helped also.

God bless everyone who worked on Notre Dame after the fire to help restore it to its former glory.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, there are 2 very good documentaries on Notre Dame.

On Disney+, NatGeo "Notre Dame, Race against the Inferno" and...
NOVA on PBS, "Rebuilding Notre Dame" - Season 49, Episode 13.

Years ago, while in Paris, my wife convinced me to take a tour of Notre Dame. Since the nave is open to the public, this involved climbing a narrow, medieval winding staircase to the cockloft. From there, one had a great view of, the town, the gargoyles, and what was basically a roofed lumbar yard.

It is my observation that the builders of Notre Dame made the church so large was for two reasons. First, it was immense to produce the wonder of God. Second, it was to allow a robust masonry structure to remain for a quick rebuilding..... after the roof burned off.

I was fortunate enough to visit in July 2014! Massive and I wondered then, as I normally do, how they would fight a fire in such a massive open structure that also had difficult access.
