OUR MILITARY.

“The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!”

― Eleanor Roosevelt

Amen to that! Thank you to the Corps!

Bravo! All that drama could have been avoided if the 79th still had their F-4 Phantom II's from the Wild Weasel days in Vietnam. The Phantom II (designed and built my friend J.S. McDonnell) had six times the bomb payload of an F-16!

Regardless, for the last 80 odd years, once the USAF gets involved, it's no longer a fair fight.

And with Okinawa, it was only going to get worse.

In 1944, the US Navy, on a half mile by half mile property, built a hospital in Houston for the anticipated casualties of the invasion of Japan. It was not needed. Later, it was built out as a VA hospital. Station 33 would be first due at Box 3171- Holcombe Blvd. and Ringness Street.

People wonder why President Truman dropped the atomic bomb.

"Bollinger Shipyards. Today. 9/11 steel salvaged from the World Trade Center arrives at Bollinger Shipyards via Fire Engine Spirit of Louisiana escorted by state and local Police and Fire vehicles. The steel was transferred to Bollingers to be fabricated into two permanent memorial plaques to be included in the construction of USCGC's VINCENT DANZ and JEFFREY PALAZZO. Danz and Palazzo were Coast Guard reservists who were also NYPD and NYFD members who tragically lost their lives attempting to save persons trapped in the World Trade Center on 9/11."
