Seagrave Marauder II Pumpers

Great looking rigs!  What is the feedback thus far from the companies that have gotten these new rigs?

Seagrave had delivered five more rigs to FDNY.  They are numbered  325, 24, 243, 246, and 8.  A sixth unit was delivered on 9/19/09, but the unit number is currently not available.

kfd274 am curious as to how E-8 is on the list since they received a 2008 high pressure pumper already, i did see it on seagrave website maybe they made mistake and used wrong picture?

Seagraves web site quotes E246 as having a 750 gallon tank, I thought this only applied to Staten Island engines

Mac,  Look's like your correct.  Fire Trucks shows E8 with a 2008 2000 GPM HP Marauder II.  Could the Seagrave website made a mistake????

To clarify several of the above posts:

As of this date, Seagrave has delivered five pumpers that have not yet been assigned.  They are to go, in order, to Engines 164, 260, 307, 24, and 325.  None of the pumpers on this contract have 750-gallon tanks.  Engine 8 was assigned the one high-pressure pumper in the contract in 2008.

Seagrave website shows that five additional pumpers have been delivered to FDNY

10-17-09         E273 and E237        No pictures posted.    I wonder if 273 is going to get its MET pinstripes again?

10-24-09         E276 and E330        With pictures

10-31-09         Unit # not given and no pictures posted.

Do any of you guys know if these are the 2010 year units, i think all of the 2009 are in and assigned.

I have no idea. I lost track of what was going on with them over the summer. Last week I spotted the dealer test driving one marked up for Engine 221. Engine 221 currently has a 2000 and I believe is one of the last 2009 models. Sorry no picture as I was on Rt 18 driving to college.

Also, does anybody know when 164 will be getting their new one put into service? I am hoping to catch it the week it enters so I can get a shot of it all nice and shiny!

E164 has their new rig for a few days now.
Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to try and get over there towards the end of next week.

According to the Seagrave website, pumpers for E35 and E323 were delivered on 11-14-09.  Pictures of the apparatus  have not accompanied the last four units delivered.

saw a bunch in manhattan the other day running around e 14, e 33, e24 all new and nice and shiny.

QUEENS  ENGINE 273

On 12/9/2009, Engine Company 273 located with Ladder Company 129 at 40-18 Union Street, in the Flushing section of Queens, received SP09031,with Seagrave serial number 91886. It replaces their 2000 Seagrave JB 1000 gpm pumper that was SP00010, with Seagrave serial 91672. Ladder 129 is a 2002 Seagrave 100 foot rearmount aerial (SL02030).

Does the new engine have the METS decals, and the pinstriping?

So a total of 28-31 engines will also be replaced as of 2010 due to the add on FDNY made with Seagrave
