When did the current color version of helmet shields go into effect? For example white over black is an engine, red over black is ladder etc. I was watching Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, and they showed what allegedly is L8 responding in a horse drawn steamer, but the front pieces for 1908 were white numbers over black background. I know movies take liberties with a lot of things but this got me thinking.
 
They got that wrong. The 3rd thing they got wrong is they showed 8 truck as a single house. The 2nd bay came down in 1913. 5 years later.
