To what I have heard nobody has trained on it, the city has no idea what to do with this rig.

The way things are going with the City of New York, they won't have money for anything. They are already talking about closing down firehouses, because of the covid shot mandate.

I think putting that Rig in service might be on a par with repairing the NYC Alarm Box System.

When the money runs out after next July 1st. watch them put the rig up for sale.

I don't know why the FDNY did not have the proper planning for this rig before they made the purchased in the first place. Also, if the rig goes out of service for repairs, the department will lose all of the rig's capability, just like the original Super Pumper.

I believe the original intent was to use it as a foam delivery rig. It appears that when the changing of its name to “Super Pumper 1,” the intent may be to use it for larger capacity/pressure water delivery. That was intent of the original Super Pumper System. This would necessitate a whole new operating procedure, etc. Just my thoughts.
