TACTICAL USE OF FIRE HYDRANTS.

Not that I particularly care about the illegally parked car, but it seems the hose could've made it around and straight to the pump panel without the added kinks from doubling back. Any ECCs with insight?

I was thinking the same thing, in this case I don't know if going to the vehicle was the best approach although we can't see how it was connected to the engine. That may be why it was done this way. Like you, I don't have any sympathy for the car owner however!

Yes the number indicates the size of the main & if there happened to be a white line painted under the number then it would indicate that the Hydrant was on the end of a main.
