Television from a different time

Lets not overlook Mr. Green Jeans, what a prolific actor!

Yes Mr Gage, the great "Mr Green Jeans" who would join his friend "Captain Kangroo" as we watched him sitting by our television screens.

So here we take you back to those happy days of "Mr Green Jeans" as he shows us his work.

Take it away Mr Green Jeans.

I was in love with Princess Summerfallwinterspring on Howdy Doody.

Here she is "raybrag".

By the way, I sure enjoy visiting our old TV shows that many of us remember from a long time ago.

Also watching those old wrestlers and their managers that have been mentioned here as well.

Those cars we drove and rode in from the 1950s and 60s while tuning in our favorite doo wop music station on the care radio added to the great times.

Anyway "raybrag", here is the Princess just for you.

Let's not forget the still on the air NBC Today Show with Dave Garroway, Jack Lescoulie, Edwin Newman, and J Frede Muggs.

In the mid-1950's the Today Show did a live remote at Mustin Field in the Philadelphia Navy Yard where my father worked using the NBC Philly affiliate.

I got to shake Edwin Newman's (GW High School grad) hand while standing in line waiting to get into the Saturday Night Live dress rehearsal at 30 Rock when he was a guest one night.

I didn't read all the posts so forgive me if these two things were mentioned,,,when I was a kid my father bought something to put over the black and white tv screen to give you the illusion of color, also remember when tv went off the air around midnight.

And we sat around to watch the test pattern.
