Also watching those old wrestlers and their managers that have been mentioned here as well.

Those cars we drove and rode in from the 1950s and 60s while tuning in our favorite doo wop music station on the care radio added to the great times.

Less we forget, the TV GUIDE. Bought every week at the local supermarket next to the register; inviting, fresh and crisp...by the end of the week it looked like it was dragged through a war zone.

Let's not forget the still on the air NBC Today Show with Dave Garroway, Jack Lescoulie, Edwin Newman, and J Frede Muggs.


In the mid-1950's the Today Show did a live remote at Mustin Field in the Philadelphia Navy Yard where my father worked using the NBC Philly affiliate.

I got to shake Edwin Newman's (GW High School grad) hand while standing in line waiting to get into the Saturday Night Live dress rehearsal at 30 Rock when he was a guest one night.
