Let's waste more time and taxpayers money by printing 7 zillion fliers outlining the parameters noted in the above two posts and distributing them to the miscreants and evil doers who have firearms. With this pamphlet they will know where not to go! Sounds inane doesn't it? That's the way these idiot politicians think that they are going to combat lawlessness. We'll have to change the way the aforementioned miscreants and evildoers will be notified as I presumed they could read. Sorry for my brain lapse.

When people who complain about this when they’re the victim and I find out they vote for this, I have no sympathy. It is what it is

These unconstitutional laws need to be fought now that the Supreme Court's NYSRPA v. Bruen ruling has been made. Anyone who has an interest in owning a firearm should exercise their 2A right. If you chose to carry so much the better. Supporting/joining 2A organizations and defying their attempts to take away your Constitutional rights. They can't be allowed to make law abiding citizens criminals for defending themselves and their families. I'm in NJ and with some of the worst anti gun laws in the country its a constant fight. I'm originally from NY so I like others dealt with this for years. Here Moron Murphy And His Band Of Renown have stated "it is illegal to carry concealed in your own vehicle". Really? We'll see. Meanwhile anyone in NJ should listen to Evan Nappen's podcast and Gun For Hire podcast. Evan is The Man here. Join ANJRPC also. In NY you can join NYSRPA. The anti gun anti 2A scum won't stop so neither can we, they're on the ropes so its time to really hit them hard. The NRA has its problems but they're the most powerful force we have. I've been a Life Member for 30+ years and also joined ANJRPC. This garbage put out there by the likes of Murphy, Hochul and other incompetents can't be tolerated anymore.

This will work out well.
Today is the last day to file an application to sell newly legalized marijuana in the State of New York. A $7 billion a year industry is anticipated.
Under the regulations of the Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary, New York wants "justice involved individuals" as licensees. This would be anyone who was "convicted of a marihuana (sic) related offense", or, "you had a parent, legal guardian, child, spouse, or dependent who was convicted of a marihuana-related offense in New York State prior to March 31, 2021".
What could possibly go wrong?

Sounds fair. Reward people who broke the law and probably introduced countless kids to pot and illegal drug use. That's what we do today - reward people who break laws and people who don't pay their debts. And no one cares - impacts, precedents or costs.

NY Post-Progressive NYC pols where EMT was murdered urged biz owners NOT to call the cops just days earlier

Two days before a maniac stabbed to death a veteran EMT lieutenant and grandmother in Astoria on Thursday, defund-the-police-promoting Queens Councilwoman Tiffany Caban and Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani released a “public safety” guide discouraging merchants from calling the cops.
The guide from the two Democrats urges small business owners to dial 311, seek mental health services for people with mental illnesses, and engage in “community mediation” instead of calling 911 to summon the police when there is trouble in many cases.
It also advises merchants to “give the person causing harm the chance to correct their behavior” before seeking intervention.
“Say `no’, `Stop”’, or `That is not Okay,'” the guide says.
“We’re distributing them to local businesses, so our neighborhood is equipped with better ways of solving problems than simply summoning police every time a challenge arises,” Caban tweeted on Sept. 27 while circulating the “Small Business Public Safety Resources Guide.”

Caban said her office “collaborated” with Mamdani, who retweeted her tweet about the guide the same day.
Merchants in the Long Island City-Astoria area and law enforcement advocates slammed the “public safety” guide as irresponsibly endangering lives.
“At a time when we just lost an FDNY member and crime is still rampant, we should be supporting the police — not pushing them away,” said Eric Benaim, CEO, of Modern Space Realty.

Giana Cerbone, owner of Manducatis Rustica restaurant on Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City said: “Are you kidding me?!… Who does she want us to call, Ghostbusters [reference to 1984 comedy film].?!”
“Look at the EMS worker who was killed. It’s a disgrace. We have to start working with the police department, not against it. We want to build a community not destroy it and the police have to be part of that,” said Cerbone, who is a business liaison to the 108th police precinct.

EMT Lt. Alison Russo-Elling, a 61-year-old department veteran who responded to Sept. 11, 2001, World Trade Center terrorist attack, was stabbed to death in a gruesome unprovoked attack by Peter Zisopoulos Thursday afternoon near EMS Station 49, where she is based. Zisopoulos has been charged with murder.

In August, two brazen thieves on motorcycles robbed a group of people dining outside a fashionable Queens cafe — Under Pressure Espresso Bar — located across the street from Cabán’s district office on 31st Street in Astoria.
“Maybe she should have included a tip on ‘What to do when getting robbed while dining al fresco across the street from my office,’” said Joseph Giacalone, a former NYPD sergeant who is a professor at CUNY’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa called it “complete insanity” to tell merchants and citizens to call 311 instead of 911 and the police.
“People are going to get hurt. People are going to get killed. It takes hours if not days to get a response from calling 311,” Sliwa said.

“If someone is having a psychological episode, you have to call the police. When the Guardian Angels engage with a mentally troubled person, we call 911. You’ve got to call the police.”
Mamdani and Caban, democratic socialists who both have campaigned on “defund the police” platforms, had no immediate comment on the criticism.

Here is the case the Bruen decision was made for. The cops aren't gonna help you arm yourself and learn how to use it. You're the first responder. Tell Hoople and her minions stick it you know where. The mayor is as clueless as she is and he was a cop!
