I am going to monitor this winter storm and it’s very likely for a good amount of snow do NYC but we are a decent way out and subject to change. I’ll update this as necessary

As of right now looks like NYC can easily get 6-14 inches

In a situation like this where they need the extra vehicles couldn't they just work off of the radio?
In that situation 100%, although alot of nessecariy details wouldnt be available to the chief, however they all have the Department Phones so they would be able to pull it up regardless.
 
6-14 inches will be a ton of fun for the city. I recall just about 12-16 inches was enough to start wreaking havoc with the 3rd rail shoes on the Subway, Metro North and LIRR trains
