    Aerials Over 100 Feet ??

    CFD Aerial Tower 8. 135' rear mount E-One aerial with a pre-piped waterway. Saw on another site that the apparatus struck a viaduct causing major damage to the ladder. Might have to go back to Ocala for replacement of the aerial device.

    Philadelphia,PA 4 Killed In House Fire 9/5/2020

    As you mentioned Chiefs wear white, Firefighters, Lieutenants and Captains wear yellow, officers and firefighters assigned to Rescue 1 wear black. Fire Marshals (investigators) wear white construction type helmets, EMS personnel wear blue and Second Alarmers, the volunteer rehab service, wears red.

    There was work all over the city last night and another two alarm store fire this morning. A lot of the work last night was in West Philadelphia (6th, 7th and 11th Battalions). Best place to follow is on Philadelphia Second Alarmers Facebook Page.

    FROM HORSES TO HORSEPOWER, A HISTORY OF PHILADELPHIA FIRE APPARATUS 1871 TO 2017 has just been released.  The author is PFD Historian Jack Wright who also writes the Philadelphia column in Fire Apparatus Journal.  272 pages. $45.     I came across a three part series INSIDE LONDON FIRE BRIGADE on you tube.  Each episode is about 45 minutes.  I found it to be an interesting look at the operation of the LFB.  Had to be done quite recently because there is a lot of Grenfell Tower coverage.
