Strange that it doesn't have any of the blue lights on the back like the new Rescues do.

    7/19/22 Boston MA 5th Alarm Box 6186

Does anyone know why in Boston alarms after the 2nd only have 2 engines or 2 engines and a ladder? Is it because of their lack of resources or something else?

TEXAS VOL FIRE CHIEF ARRESTED FOR STEALING $150K-$300K FROM DEPARTMENT

They obviously had a very poorly run department with no checks for financial operations! Every organization big or small needs to have checks and balances to control their finances!

TEXAS VOL FIRE CHIEF ARRESTED FOR STEALING $150K-$300K FROM DEPARTMENT

There are many many volunteer fire departments throughout the United States that have operated legally with no embezzlement for over 100 years in many cases! As long as they are set up correctly and have appropriate checks and measures in place and they have no problem whatsoever!

Otisco, NY Large Hay Barn Fire 7/12/2022

Happens all the time in the summer up that way. They put up new hay and it's not completely dry, combining the wet hay with high temperatures and you get spontaneous combustion! Went to many of them when I was a firefighter outside of Rochester.

3-Alarm Fire at Target Store in Delaware ruled arson

Not really, those roofs nothing but sheet-metal and foam, very easy to cut with a K-Saw. The problem is that's going to create a good bit of damage to be repaired. Using a large fan (in this case the boat) is probably just as effective and causes a lot less damage.

3-Alarm Fire at Target Store in Delaware ruled arson

Good use of the resources you have! I'm guessing they must've done that previously since they knew who had one and where to call it from.

    Gator Type Vehicles

Where I was brought up in the fire service we always called them "Indian Tanks" not Indian cans, which is the true nomenclature they use in FDNY?

    NYCHA might ban ebikes

I don't see how this can happen, the Democrats are the ones pushing for electric vehicles and now they want to ban them? This will never fly!

California fire officials and FBI are targeting illegal drones near wildfire emergencies

I don't know why they need to get the fancy was all a tracking etc., just get a couple of duck hunters out there with 12gauge shotguns and the problem will be solved!

    FDNY APPARATUS ADS

Some great advertising posts! Strange how many of the companies in these ads are no longer in business, I think many would especially like to see the Macks come back like they were in their heyday!

What type of operation are helicopters painted like that used for? I don't look like the normal color scheme of Air Force birds.

    New Chief of Department

Great description, I basically knew the hierarchy among the different chiefs etc. but this is a great explanation top to bottom. It sort of explains the need for a Commissioner but....

Lawrence Cnty AL propane truck BLEVE ‘s with fatality

You can't really tell from the videos but the way it's burning with many small explosions I'm thinking might be a truck carrying a lot of small cylinders instead of a propane truck with one large cylinder like the ones used for filling large tanks and homes. Does anyone have any additional...

That's what I was thinking and if that's the case then it's not really very usable in most situations.

Do you know what the minimum extension is when it can lift the 22,000 pounds? That might be useful in some circumstances but the lifting capacity at isn't going to be very helpful.

Any idea why they need a tillered truck like this in Dallas? It's not like there streets are that crowded and restricted like they are in NYC.

That crane doesn't look like it could lift anything very heavy. Any idea what they use it for?

    Toronto Tower1

Your guess is probably as good as anyone else's! I did have one in NYC for a demo a couple of years ago around St. Patrick's, it was soon after the fire at Notre Dame in Paris.
