Damn that's bad. He's lucky his neck wasn't compressed or broken he could have been paralyzed. I never liked working under window a/c units in backyards for that reason. Hope he makes a full and complete recovery.
Its very important to always drain the air from the tank after using it. Moisture will rust the inside of the tank. I always use it outside its unreal how something not flammable can explode like that.
I could be wrong but I think at some point in the 70s L82 was a tiller. I didn't live far from 162/82 and I'm sure I remember they had an ALF tiller at some point.
I don't know the cause here obviously but it reminds me of years ago one of my co-workers had a boat docked by our Shore Pkwy location in Bklyn. Apparently he was living on it and had a space heater hooked up to keep the boat warm. During the time he was out in the field, the heater or extension...
The Local I am a member of has used them for catering on holidays for many years. In fact at my work location we just had lunch from there this week. That's a shame hopefully they can recover.
