Many moons ago that building was loaded with airline pilots and stewardesses from JFK. They used the apartments between flights on a rotating basis. Whomever had a lay over used the apartment. Of course, that's going back to the late 60's and early 70's. I'm sure things have changed by now.
270 comes straight up Lefferts to Metropolitan whereas 305 comes down Queens Blvd onto Kew Gardens Road then down Lefferts to Metropolitan. 305 has a bit more of a run than 270. Close but 270 gets it.
