Been doing company stats for the past 3-4 years now, and can confirm that these companies have not well surpassed their totals from last year. They are roughly on pace with the same as last year, and my #'s are based on this site which is at least 95% accurate.
Also thinking with it being early morning, reports of people trapped, and fire up the stairs, OV probably made a quick dash to the 2nd floor windows with the bucket to try and make a grab. As important as the roof man is, at the end of the day we're in this to save lives.
The fact that there were 4 roof fires from Monday into Tuesday morning (with 2 at the same address) is a little suspicious. Especially for that area of the city.
Although out of all the areas in the city, it is not surprising it happened in Hunts Point (considering it is majority commercial and not heavily populated with residents in the area of the job)
Was 25 truck unavailable, or does 13 truck normally have second due boxes on the other side of the park? And if so, how big does there response area go on the west side?
