CBS News at 11pm reports the house was converted into a 17 room SRO illegally. They probably had to force every door in the building.

nothing over the air about L56 becoming available, probably assigned from qtrs.
L48/L37 got the run over the air
So then L56 could have been first due truck here. Not sure where the 1st due areas change over there, but I'd assume this is a 48/56 first due box and 79/37 second due box. Anyone have some knowledge on this?

From my source, the 1996 New York City Fire Alarm Assignment and Reference Guide, Box 3358 is for Grand Avenue at W 190th St.

This specific address is between 190th and 192d Sts on Grand Ave. As I recorded for a job at this box some years ago, the box assignment was

75 48 81 79 43 88
33 56 46 37 59 38
Bn 19 Bn 27

This incident could have been pre BARB and so subject to change as HCO indicates.

This address is located two blocks west of St. James Park and the former Jerome Skating Palace, both places known to any kid growing up in those neighboring parishes of Tolentine, OLR, OLM, and SPN, and I'm sure a bunch more.

Also, the next block up from the 5 story walkup building of my best friend's girlfriend and future wife, the lovely and late Patricia O'Keefe.
