VARIOUS NEWS REPORTS...... five alarm fire in staten island ny today

According to the rundown E 152 & 168 are the only 2 Engines and L 82 & 84 are the only 2 Ladders that were not assigned to the 5th Alarm... I would guess they were relocated to other S.I. companys....

Maybe they will make it in on a watch line, I'm fairly certain there will probably be an extended watch line on this one

Did 168 go into SQ8?
Usually a South Shore engine goes in there on a North Shore job and vice versa.

E-284 and Sat 3 passed me in the HOV lane as I was stuck in traffic on the SI "Expressway". My phone was dead and I didn't have the HT but I figured it was something big when I saw Bklyn units. Reminds me of that paper warehouse fire in Greenpoint about 5 yrs ago.

The 5 pm news reports is a STEEL FACTORY

I heard it was a Bethlehem Steel Corporation propeller foundry, which closed in 1971

16 Engine back on the Island on the watch line @1100 with TL85 and another TL set up and operating in the yard.

TL85 is the only 95’ on the island, most likely why it seems they’ve been there throughout the entire job.

My goodness E 274 from Flushing Queens going to SI as a HazTech unit. I would have thought a unit out of Brooklyn and maybe 274 backfilling.

Many moons ago 16 engine would relocate to Staten Island at E154 (Hannah street quarters) by taking the rig on the Staten Island ferry. Of course, other Manhattan companies did likewise.
