Chief - I think the picture you want was on this site and maybe WNYF which shows the 8-member seating of the rebuilt 144 ft hi-ladders which went to the TCU 712 and TCU 732 when formed in 1969. It showed 3 FFs sitting on the 3 added chairs. I think the picture became non-viewable in the Hi Ladder thread or the Unique Apparatus thread.

I'll check WNYF presumably Issue 1/70 when I get home, see if I can take a new picture of it.

Thanks Phil. This is the full WNYF article from 4th issue 1969:

Grove rebuild.jpg

TCU 712 was organized November 1969 at Engine 82/Engine 85/Ladder 31/Bn 27 (2 engines, 2 trucks, 1 BC on Intervale Ave in 1969). Then relocated to the nearby Tin House at Engine 85. It became Ladder 59 in 1972.

The former high ladder (145 ft) units had minimal storage for a full complement of truck company ladders, tools and equipment - but were configured with seating for 8 members.

In 1970, Intervale Ave. responses were:

Engine 82 8204
Engine 85 5838
Ladder 31 5523
TCU 712 4607
Bn 27 6438

Total 28,612

TACTICAL CONTROL UNIT 712 BRONX ORG. 1215 Intervale Ave. At E-82 (Nov. 15, 1969) NQTRS. 1264 Boston Rd. W/ E-85 (Jul. 8, 1971) DISB. (To Org. Ladder 59) (Nov. 24, 1972)
