FDNY Pumpers awarded to KME

Why  did  they  stop  putting  75O  gallon  booster  tanks  on  the  Staten  lsland  pumpers ?
Not sure but my guess would be so that there was uniformity between all of the pumpers.  Hopefully it won't cause any problems when the second new engine is not quite as close as in most places.

224 Engine's KME on a run in Brooklyn Heights last week with 110 Truck and the 31 BC

At 3pm this afternoon I saw E247 roaring down 13th Ave in Bensonhurst with their new KME

As soon as the first Ferrara rear mounts and rescues hit the streets, there was a litany of grouches and complaints about them, and they seemed to be out of service more than they were in.

Now, with 15 or so KMEs on the job, there seems to be nothing but silence.

Is it safe to assume that, at least in the short term, the KMEs have been successful?

I've been thinking the same thing, no news is usually good news in a case like this.

E 96  ( KP 15019 ) will be leaving PA on Monday morning for the shops.....My buddy thinks the radio is completed. ...I would think it should go into service by the middle of this coming week...

You think correctly....life in KME land has been good so far.

As of today, there are 21 new KMEs in front line service.....I would also have to agree with you guys  that it is holding up very well and positive remarks from the members that have them. Yes there have been a few issues due to the outside vendors products. ...They have done a suspensions up grade and theres been a few issues regarding water leaks into the cab from the roof lightbars...
