Signal 5-5-5-5 has been transmitted. It is with regret the FDNY announces the line of duty death of FF Christopher Slutman, L-27, appointed Sept 14th, 2003, which occured Monday April 8th, 2019, as a result of injuries sustained while on active duty with the USMC

A very sad day. Eternal rest to you Sgt. Comfort and prayers to your family, the Green Berets and Cross Bronx Express. Special prayers for those who still serve our country and sacrifice for our freedom. God Bless Chris and his family during this most holy time of year.
 
My condolences to the family and friends of Firefighter Christopher Slutman and to the members of the FDNY on your loss. A GREAT AMERICAN who died for Our Country. A decorated member of the FDNY and father of three children.

FF Christopher Slutman represented the BEST of the Best.

46/27 had a group present at Dover.... also Members of our great Ceremonial Unit were present.
 
One of the other MARINES KIA Cpl Robert Hendriks of Locust Valley LI NY was the Son of an NYPD Cop who had worked in the 75 Pct on Patrol & was a Detective in the 115 Squad..... SEMPER FI !
