Yesterday on the 79th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor great American General Chuck Yeager passed away at age 97. Anyone who did any reading about General Yeager knows what a great American he was and how much he contributed to aviation. Unfortunately we lost too many of these great Patriots. I remember years ago Don Imus recalled speaking to the General and Imus mentioned to him he was in the service (Marine Corps bugler). He said "General you and I have alot in common" The General responded " son the only thing you and I have in common is we're on the same planet". An American Hero Rest In Peace.

Speaks a lot to the character of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel Prial that he resigned his original commission to continue flying a helicopter and not a desk. While I'm sure it is little condolence to his family, at very least he passed doing what he loved. A truly tragic loss...

According to the New York Times: President Biden has ordered the DOD Inspector General to investigate the Navy SEALS for war crimes. Boy...that is gonna help morale!

To anyone who may be interested, these are detailed operational studies of The Battle Of Iwo Jima. The second in my opinion is the best day by day account of the battle I've ever read. If you have a serious interest in military history you'll be amazed at the detail. Being that Mt. Suribachi was secured 2/23/45 as Chief posted, it is appropriate. To all the veterans here who served... SALUTE and thank you.
