When was 57 Avenue converted to "One-Way" as stated in the article? Is it possible the author referred to the 92 Street side which is "One-Way."

57 Ave was made One Way many years ago ( probably around 2005 or somewhat earlier ) while I was still working in BN*46.....we voiced our opposition to the Community Board & the DOT as this was an important response route from our 287/136/46 FH heading towards the QNS Center Mall as well as toward the Lefrak City Complex now made One Way against us but our reasons all fell on deaf ears just as the several QNS Blvd road projects did.

Was that location approved? I thought I read somewhere that it was not approved and they are still looking for a temporary location.

In regards to 287 / 136 / 46 the trailers are in place ( l think l saw 3 or 4 ).

The cages have not been installed yet. It looks like the cages will be facing 57 Ave near 90 St opposite the end of mall.
Next time l get over that way l will update you all

I remember some years back 287 & 136 was quartered with 292 & rescue 4 moved in with 262. I don't remember for how long but I guess it wasn't an option this time

L136 was with 292 and I believe rescue stayed? They put them in a cage. This time is just gonna take too long hearing 3 years. Was talks of putting L136 at E324 but the traffic was an issue and E319 was too far away. The only other option was moving R4 back to E316 in the tin…

Why not leave them in the street and put temp quarters up in trailers. And why will it take 3 years to build new quarters?

That gut renovation & rebuilding of the entire Grand Ave FH was mid '90s .....287 / 136 were with 292....R*4 was with 262 & the 46 was with 324.
