1/10/25 Bronx 5th Alarm Box 3462

Nice videos and rundown. News reported residents said they’ve been without heat for some time. Wonder what cause will be. Obviously wind made this worse, but fire might have been advanced to begin with.

It’s worth noting that this is a double H-type building. Four “wings” ABCD, serviced by one main entrance. Which makes for very long hose stretches.
There is an identical building directly behind it on Barnes Avenue.

15th battalion has had quite a start to 2025. Probies in E38 and E97 already saw first due jobs within a week on. Now this 5th alarm in the 15th again…wonder how many probies, if any, caught their first multiple last night. One to remember

So why would they ever need the Engine with it?
Depending on where it is field com members may take it or they will have E93 bring it to the scene and drop it off. Usually Field Com goes to 233 and then take the field com car if using MCC at 93. All depends if they have a driver for the MCC also. Field com members were trained driving it with a 95 foot tower ladder.

Where is Field Comm located now if they have to go to E-233 to get MCC-1?

I have a question to all of you folks. From 04:21 to 09:00 this morning, the FD had made about 17 special calls. Were they broadcasted over the Bronx channel? The reason I am asking is because I am subscribing to Breaking News Network for fire news, and I didn't get any of those special calls. I didn't have my scanner with me last night. Thanks.

Talking about off duty field com members that get called in they report to 233 staff MCC1 or they take the Field Com Car to get MCC2 or if 93 drops it off they meet it at the scene
