If they still went above the 6th, I would be wondering what is taking FC and/or the Bronx CO so long to transmit the 6th.Did I just hear Field Comm SC 4 TLs 6 Eng ,1 fast ,3 battalions?
Is this fire still raging?

6th alarms aren't supposed to be transmitted anymore, that one last year essentially happened due to a loophole in the policy. If they still went above the 6th, I would be wondering what is taking FC and/or the Bronx CO so long to transmit the 6th.
Not really. I could have been used, yes. But with the wind I doubt it would have made a difference. Especially with multiple TL's and Sats already in operation.Question. Does anyone think the SP1 should have responded?
Thanks for the explanationFor the new member here, 52/52 do not get relocated due to them being in a remote area, they do respond to fires on multiple alarms when directed by dispatcher. When they do respond to,fires they also must be filled with a relocator. Todays dispatch protocols use incoming units relocating into fire area to respond to the fire if multiple alarms are transmitted. Old box assignment cards are pretty much a thing of the past. Spare rigs do not figure into this type of fire response, L-52 will be in a spare for a very long time due to their regular apparatus being totaled in a crash.
Not counting the Engines and Chiefs, it would be a 12th Alarm worth of trucks. I counted every unit that was s/c'ed after the 5th. And its to confusing. So I'm gonna take my best guess, maybe a 7th-8th maybe even a 9th Alarm.Great run down Signal as usual. Under the previous Alarm system, what Alarm would this be?
Sound like FDNY is having the same problem as Chicago, a lot of CFD fleet is in spares or older apparatus. What would that have to do with “staying home” I’m sure 50% of the units on scene are in spares
probably since L85 is a 95ft TLL85 to the Bronx that’s a far distance
MCC2 is with FC1 off duty members from FC staff it. And better hope they have food in the fridge or someone brings something at shift change or better yet order something lol…Late to the party here but I have a couple questions after reading posts
when command asks for an MCC but doesn’t need the Engine company who transports the MCC? Is the engine just down a man?
If the contract states they cannot get the meal in a unit older then 10 years who gets it if both companies are in such a rig?
That part of the contract, I will never understand. I understand the part about Relocations and BI's. But not being able to get the meal is, something..it makes zero sense to me.MCC2 is with FC1 off duty members from FC staff it. Thanks. It has been corrected, it was E-90 on the first alarm, E-63 on the 2nd.Really good run down of units by Unit with the urgent. Just check one thing, it looks like E63 is on both the First and second alarms
So why would they ever need the Engine with it?MCC2 is with FC1 off duty members from FC staff it. And better hope they have food in the fridge or someone brings something at shift change or better yet order something lol…
