I was wondering if L24 will be able sport the company's "Longhorns" since the spotlight is TDC over the windshield on the cab roof. ::)
Maybe they'll have to put them below the windshield?

Anyone know if or when these units will enter service. As far as I can tell none of the units are in service yet many have been delivered.

Wouldn't be surprised if they removed the light..

Also on the rig i noticed the ladder sits back behind the lights ontop of the cab compared to the old ladder on the old rig which over-hanged over the lights. Is this so the lights can be seen more clearly??

And finally i think the grey box under the "Ladder 24" sign takes a little look off the rig

Units 4510. 4511, 4514 and 4515  have been removed from the "In Production" page, but like 4506, they are not on the "New Deliveries"  page either.

Word is that they would like all the rigs done by the 11th
not sure how true, but they are building them quick it seems.

Wow.......tight time frame, but I suppose that's only the way it seems on the "in production page" and that's way behind.  Eh well....time will tell.

Still no shots of H# 4506 on the "New Deliveries" page of Ferrara's site.

Does anybody have any updated information on which companies are receiving the remaining sticks out of this FIRST batch?

Also - any word on when the first rig is scheduled to be placed in service?  It seems like there has been a bit of a delay (I'm sure in part due to Chief's shows, the shops doing modifications, and because it's a brand new "Animal" in the fleet.)

Trying to sort out the order, production and delivery schedule based on the Ferrara site, and FDNY orders.

(1) There will be a total of twenty in the original three year contract, based on orders for six, four and ten.

(2) An add-on order for twenty one additional units has also been approved.

(3) That will bring the total order to 41 units.

According to the Ferrara website I see the following information:

(1) New deliveries pictures six (6) units as delivered.  They are 4504, 4505, 4507, 4508. 4509, 4510

(2) "Missing in Action"  Defined as not on the "In Production Page"  and not yet on the "New Deliveries Page"

      This is total of four (4) units:  4506, 4511. 4512. 4513.

(3)  In Production:

      This group of  ten (10) units would complete the original order of twenty (20):  4617, 4618, 4619, 4620, 4621, 4622, 4623,  4624, 4625, 4626.

Hope I got this correct now  ;) ;) ;)

      This is total of seven (7) units:  4506, 4511. 4512. 4513, 4514, 4515, 4516 .

      (b)  These three (3) units are also on this page:  4524, 4525, 4526.  This would indicate that are working on the add on order of 21.

Hope I got this correct  ;) ;) ;)

The original order of 20 were not all numbered sequentially.

For example 4516 is a Platform recently delivered to Schenectady.

Also the ten (10) units currently in production are job numbers 4617-4626.

Florian,

You are correct on that.  4514, 4515, and 4516  must be units for other departments.  It seems  they started with 4504 and went to 4513 for a total of ten units.  FDNY numbers resumed with 4617 through 4626 for ten additional units.  I even recorded part of the jump myself at:

http://nycfire.net/forums/index.php/topic,3749.msg36622.html#msg36622

I will make the corrections in the original post.
