PARK SLOPE
Park Slope is a neighborhood in northwestern Brooklyn, New York City, within the area once known as South Brooklyn. Park Slope is roughly bounded by Prospect Park and Prospect Park West to the east, Fourth Avenue to the west, Flatbush Avenue to the north, and Prospect Expressway to the south. correct me if i am wrong but owen succumbed to his 9/11 illness while attending the al ronaldson 9/11 memorial golf outing in myrtle beach.

The location on Union Street at the time seems to be exposure 2 to the quarters of Engine 269.
The firehouse is 788 Union Street, even though I've seen it listed as 786 Union.
The 1940s tax map view looks like it's 788, the same numbers seen today, but it's not clear.
Regardless, exposure 2 to the firehouse is a two-story building both then and now.| NYC Municipal Archives

Division 1 had its origin in Lower Manhattan in 1869 as the Lower District, coming under command of the 1st Assistant Chief in 1883. In 1906, Division 1 was moved further south to the quarters of Ladder 10 on Fulton Street while Division 2 moved into the former station of Engine 55 on Lafayette Street, splitting the Division area. Division 1 encompasses neighborhoods such as Soho, Tribeca, Little Italy, and Chinatown with buildings from high rises to industrial, residential to ferry terminals, markets, schools and government centers.
