F- freightliner    m-mask unit

Then why do Battalion cars, command units, communication units, field comm, and others have the M?
Miscellaneous

I know, I was being rhetorical trying to prove my point from when I stated the M was for miscellaneous

I noticed this from months ago when 1st saw E153 KME video that center of both rear lights are blue instead of driver side blue and other side yellow like all other newer pumpers (seagraves & kme) ...  lt is just a fluke ?

For those members that are keeping track of FDNY apparatus Reg #s there are some changes.....When l took pics of
E 158 at the Maspeth Radio Shops there Reg # was. KP 15041.... When l was at E 158s quarters yesterday they said they got it a week ago....The Reg # if E 158 is now. KP 16001.

E 64 is assigned KP 16008

The amount of engine companies on SI that are KME's are quickly adding up.

SI engine companies with KME engines are: 153, 156, 157, 158, 162, 163, 167 - making it 7 out of the 18 engine companies on the island, alittle less than half.

Does anyone know when the FDNY will look for new RM trucks to replace the 2005 and 2006 rigs? And who would most likely get the bid? After all the problems with the Ferrara's would we still use them if they are the lowest? I guess KME would be a real option if they win the bid... after hearing the feedback on the engines (positive) there should be no problems with the RMs they would produce... it would be interesting to see what they would look like.

Ferrara  won the bid for an additional  12 Rearmounts....KME was the highest bidder.

ln regards to the new KME pumpers that are assigned to Staten Island there will only be 2 additional  KMEs by the end of the 91 pumper contract is completed.  E 166 and E 168 will be the last  two Eng. Co's on S.I. to revieve them.

The staten island list of KME pumpers will be...

E 153--156--157--158--162--163--166--167--168

THIS WILL BRING THE TOTAL KMEs THAT WILL BE IN FRONT LINE SERVICE TO 9... THIS WILL BE HALF OF THE ENTIRE 18 ENGINE COS THAT ARE ON S.I.

JOEYENGINE..........According to the list l have you now have SP 06001....

E 168 is scheduled for the 86thPumper

I'm sending you a message
