If I recall correctly the old rescue services rig, which had a rescue body, used to act occasionally as a Tac and also as SOC logistics. Could be wrong. I don't think this truck is around anymore? Not sure though. Of course, lots of other spares with rescue bodies.

Gone long time ago. The only trucks are the spare rescues and hazmat spare.

They made the trailers pretty nice inside. I am not 100% sure if they are taking the one that they are in now and putting it there or not.

Looking at the plans I notice the Chief's bay is only eight feet wide.
A bay that wide was insufficient over 40 years ago when the job went to SUV-type rigs, even though they weren't called SUVs back then.
Don't the planners get any input from the men who actually work in firehouses?

years ago there were...i have a rendering somewhere but its small, it never went anywhere, and the tent has done its job so i dont see it going anywhere

To get out of the car I had to slide across the front seat and get out the Chief door. Did I mention we had to pull in the Chief side mirror so it didn't hit?

That space, I believe, was originally for the car used by the Manhattan/Bronx AC/DAC who was on duty overnight. The 8th Battalion was parked in the bay with the engine and truck.
